When we provide reports and billing information we often use a CSV file. By default, Microsoft Excel performs some automatic conversion when opening CSV files that might lead to information being lost or hidden.

Please follow these steps when opening a CSV file in Excel:

  1. Open a new Excel workbook, and select File -> Import.

  2. Select "CSV File" when prompted, and the file you want to open.

  3. Choose "Delimited" columns with default options.

  4. When you can choose the "Column data format", choose "Text" instead of "General".

When the file imports, the data won't be changed.
