Delegating jobs

Summary: For dispatchers who have identified a certain set of jobs that can't be completed, you can delegate the work to a designated channel.

In the dashboard, select a job that you wish to delegate. The job information will appear in a pop-up in the top right hand side of the dashboard.

If you click on the ellipsis icon in the top right hand side of the job information, you will see an options to complete the stop; or delegate the job.

Clicking on “Delegate Job will bring up the following screen:

Select the channel you would like to delegate the job to, and if you like you can add a reason for why the job was delegated. Clicking ‘Delegate’ will take you back to the dashboard.

Clicking the name of your delegated channel will bring up a list of jobs that have been delegated. Clicking on one of jobs will show the job information, and the Job Delegation reason if one has been entered.

If you click on the ellipsis icon on the top right hand corner of the delegated job information you can see options to complete the stop, or undo the delegation.

Undoing the delegation will remove it from the delegated channel and re-open its previously closed stops. You cannot edit or reassign a job currently delegated, so this is where you would need to undo a delegation before editing or re-assigning a job.
